Royal Pines Hotel Urawa

Hotel is a quick train ride to downtown Tokyo. Fluent English speaking employees available for translation made staying at the Hotel and getting information about Saitama very easy. Shuttle bus available to Haneda airport. Would definitely recommend.

Overall location was quite good, lots of food options nearby, though about a 15 minute walk from the station.The staff were lovely on check in and check out.The rooms were very clean.

Bed was a little firm for my liking but this seems standard across a Japan so not that fussed.

Very nice property. Walking distance from the station unless you've got lots of luggage. Willing to hold our luggage before checkin time. Pretty standard in Japan, but much appreciated.

Rooms were hot and stuffy. One smelled of cigarette smoke. The air conditioning didn't blow cold air and windows are not openable. Might have been one of those situations where they hadn't switched from winter to summer operation.

Everything about the hotel was good; friendly staff, comfortable room, surroundings with good restaurants within easy reach. We also enjoyed the variety of food offered at breakfast!

Our only complaint where we gave 2 out of 4 for COMFORT was due to the extra bed provided for the 3rd stayer. The mattress was too thin and not at all comfortable for a good night's sleep.

All the hotel staff were very polite and nice. During the day I checked-in, they were having some problem with the electricity so I need to wait for a while, but they were very sorry about it and gave me free upgrade even though I said it was fine. Thank you very much

Some part of the room interior feels a bit dated, but still acceptable for the hotel rate.

The rooms were slightly larger than expected. Very clean/

The beds were too hard. Mattress was very boardlike. When we went up to the 5th floor to have something to eat around 8:30 pm, we were turned away. The gentleman said it was all full but we saw many empty tables. We told him we were staying there but he totally ignored us.

It was great value for money compared with options nearer to Tokyo center since we were booking very late. The location near the station makes it easy to go anywhere in reasonable time. Urawa station area itself has big shopping malls, restaurants and shops. The hotel was clean and nice and the room more spacious than I was expecting.

I didn’t have breakfast or any meals. Hotel restaurants are quite expensive. Room was spacious and location of the hotel was very good.

The hotel had no record of my booking, Fortunately they had a room available. The bed in the room us very firm by Australian standards.

The room is big for Japan. Very wide room and big bed. We could see Mt Fuji from the window. The amenities are good, nice bathroom.

Even though we were having our wedding at the hotel, the check-in staff wanted to charge us ¥3000 to check in one hour early. The room was ready and we already paid. Why not just let people check in one hour early? It would’ve been a better response to just say you can’t check us in early instead of asking for more money. Bad policy. They don’t care about the guests.

The place was clean, the room was spacious, the view was good from my room and was easily accessible.

It's in a quiet and convenient location. There are supermarkets, Isetan and convenience stores nearby, so you can go shopping anytime.There are also taxis available, so you can use them anytime.Haneda Airport shuttle bus stops here.

The hotel staff pays close attention to the guests.For example, when I walk in front of the front desk, I bow properly.The restaurants we eat at are all delicious.Recommended when meeting people.Shikisai is definitely recommended.

There wasn't anything in particular that stands out enough for me to like.

10-minute walk to the Urawa Station. We love to walk, but 10 minutes is a little too long when we have to do that 2 round trips every day. The hotel is clean yet outdated, and its vibe is old: the carpet is old, the color is old, and electrical controls are old. Water pressure wasn't bad but was the worst among all 4 hotels we've stayed in the past 12 days.
